Siddùra
The discovery of an abandoned old vineyard situated in the breathtaking landscape of Gallura inspired a new challenge and helped man an old dream come true. Siddùra became a declaration of love for Sardinia, a tribute to the island's purity, simplicity and tradition. Spring, summer, autumn, winter... follow the gentle cycle of nature in an area where climate and seasons leave their distinctive imprint upon the wines. A natural paradise that tempts all our senses with its rocky, majestic hilltops, dense forests or secular cork oaks and fragrant scents of Mediterranean vegetation. A land protected by the hills from winter winds and caressed by mild sea breezes to temper the summer heat. Sun, rain, earth, wind... and a wine a nature intended.
Sardinia
Situated off the west coast of Italy, Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean after Sicily and has a geology much like the South of France. The island is home to a variety of native varietals like rich yet refreshing Vermentino. Soil, weather and position all play a crucial role in the cultivation of vines and a good combination of these factors explains why "Vermentino di Gallura" is one of only 4 white Italian wines to be awarded the DOCG. Sardinia's most important red, Cannonau... AKA Garnacha or Grenache can range from savory and light-bodied to complex and structured.
